Lanfranchi Nickel Mine - Overview

The Lanfranchi Nickel Operation is located 44km south of the Kambalda townsite and 42km from the BHP Billiton Nickel West concentrator. The site is 100km south of Kalgoorlie, a well-established mining town with a population of approximately 34,000 people.

Access to the site is via a well-maintained unsealed road south from Kambalda via Gold Fields’ St Ives gold mining operation.

 
 

The Lanfranchi assets include:

JORC-compliant Mineral Resources of 78,300t of contained nickel;

An established underground mine and associated infrastructure including: paste plant, batch plant, site offices, workshop and accommodation village built in 2010 with 144 ensuite rooms;

Ore Tolling and Concentrate Purchase Agreement with BHP Billiton Nickel West; and

A large package of 36 granted mining leases covering 51km2 which provide significant exploration opportunities
